 Do away with counting every penny just cos life indebted you with brokenness and feel the instant regulation of your cortisol levels. Live how you want. Have a vacation every goddamn day of your life for as long as you want and I bet you’ll find that usually 15 minutes is more than enough. So long as it’s full and it’s rich. The key to success is as simple as chasing your own excitement. This is not the same as dopamine. This is the thing that really ignites a flame in your heart while blowing a gentle breeze on your head. Digest with ease. Stream blood through your veins without any sort of tension leaning too much to one side or another. Senses are awake. Stimulated but not overwhelmed. Food isn't a bother; it's sustenance and a bit of comfort. Sleep is in itself the night cap. Follow a skin care routine out of the pleasure of applying gentle soaps and creams to your face and to transmit some love through touch and not cos you must. Your unconscious knows more than any written knowledge on health. A cigarette can cure a throat longing to see the movements of its own breath. Red meat can arouse the organs that crave for a sexual partner to do so when one isn’t there. Pizza lowers stress cos the joy that comes while consuming it signals to the body that you are OK and happy. Beer tastes like liquid gold. Coffee is the ceremonial inauguration of a new day’s possibilities. Magnesium just sounds awesome. Kale feels good to massage. 10,000 steps is the daily countdown towards the flu. If granted permission to, the body will intuitively perform other movements throughout the day that are as good as staying “fit.” Laughter works out the abdomen and if you laugh long and hard enough, then it will even exercise the gut, the kidneys, and the liver. Replace all these items with your own preferences as applicable. But reading is the one thing I’ll say is truly indispensable. Do it at your own pace, towards your own enrichment. You know what excess looks like. Chances are, you probably don’t actually like how it feels. Cast aside your judgements so that the you that’s hiding behind all your inexplicable ailments; crying, itching, burning, throbbing for your love and attention, can feel encouraged to reveal itself in subtle yet confident ways. Be kind to others, call it selfishly motivated, but name something better than making someone else smile. Don’t confine yourself to linear time. Live every day as if you were eternal, cos on some level you are, and the level at which you are impermanent matters so little to begin with. It’s easier to believe that something chose to put you here for a reason. Whatever reason that might be. Why not? Most people who have lived long enough know that we are surrounded by angels. Watch “Wings of Desire” if you need proof or an entertaining reminder. Challenges are fun, they are the premises of most games. Many burdens are self-imposed. What's the point of having a will and perception if not to exercise it. There’s nothing more embarrassing than dying fear. *
